Running Tally

It occurred to me, that as the numbers of emails and dates get higher, it could be hard to keep track of who’s who. So here’s the running tally.

Email 1. Joe.

Just an email, no date. We failed to make a connection after I answered his Craigslist ad.

Email 2, Date 1. P.

Date number 1. We totally hit it off, he surprised me by showing up after a show, we quickly fell for each other, we made some mad BBQ at my house, then things fizzled out as he realized he needed to address some things in his life, and I realized I needed more than he could give me. Still, this was a super fun relationship.

Email 3, Date 2. B.

The cop. Our mutual friend P. fixed us up, and he took me to a great restaurant on our first date, a blues/jazz/funk club on a non-date, and Dave Matthews for our third date. He’s a super great guy, funny, and a fun date, but the initial spark never really developed into anything more and our busy schedules meant that we’d go weeks without seeing each other.

Email 4. S.

Art collector, antiques collector, friend of my good friend Annie. She tried to set us up through Facebook, but I couldn’t see his profile without friending him. He eventually responded to my friend request, we exchanged a few funny emails on Facebook, and he was going to come see my band play. But he never did.

  1. [...] The upside is that one of the boys I (or we — me and my friends who signed me up) winked at emailed me back, and sounds pretty cool. We’ll see what happens. I’ll wait a few days for any new developments before I post him as Email #6. [...]
